Quantabio UltraPlex 1-Step ToughMix (4X) L-ROX, 500R 95168-500
UltraPlex 1-Step ToughMix (4X) L-ROX is a ready-to-use, 4X concentrated master mix for one-step reverse transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) using probe-based detection. It performs first-strand cDNA synthesis and PCR amplification in the same tube for sensitive quantification of RNA templates, including low-abundance targets and RNA viruses, and is formulated with Low-ROX passive reference dye for instruments that require a reduced ROX normalization. The product is supplied in a 500-reaction format (500R) and is intended for uni- or multiplexed RT-qPCR workflows.
Key Features:
- Concentration: 4X concentrated master mix
- Format: 500 reactions (500R)
- Passive reference dye: Low-ROX (L-ROX)
- Includes: qScript XLT reverse transcriptase, RNase inhibitor, hot-start DNA polymerase and optimized dNTPs/magnesium
- Detection chemistry: Probe-based hybridization (e.g., TaqMan 5’-hydrolysis probes)
- Multiplexing: Capable of up to 5 targets
- Sensitivity: Detects as little as 1 pg total RNA
Advantages:
- All-in-one 1-step RT-qPCR workflow reduces hands-on time by performing reverse transcription and amplification in a single tube
- High inhibitor tolerance enables robust performance with crude extracts, clinical specimens, or environmental samples
- Low-ROX formulation ensures compatibility with real-time PCR instruments requiring reduced passive reference dye
- 4X concentration affords flexibility for reduced reaction volumes or dilute samples and supports high-throughput workflows
