Quantabio UltraPlex 1-Step ToughMix (4X) 1000R 95166-01K
UltraPlex 1-Step ToughMix (4X) is a 4X concentrated one-step RT-qPCR master mix designed to perform first-strand cDNA synthesis and real-time probe-based PCR in a single tube. It is formulated for multiplex RT-qPCR (up to five targets) and for application to RNA samples that may contain PCR inhibitors, enabling sensitive detection from crude, clinical, environmental, or other challenging sample types. The mix includes reverse transcriptase, RNase inhibitor and a hot-start DNA polymerase and is offered with or without ROX passive reference dye to support instrument-specific normalization.
Key Features:
- 4X concentrated master mix configuration
- Packaged for 1000 reactions (1000R) in the 95166-01K format
- Supports multiplex RT-qPCR of up to 5 targets
- Contains qScript XLT reverse transcriptase, RNase inhibitor, and hot-start DNA polymerase
- Available with ROX, Low ROX, or no ROX passive reference dye
- Formulated for resistance to PCR inhibitors and room-temperature reaction setup
- Compatible with dual-labeled probe chemistries (e.g., TaqMan®)
Advantages:
- Enables one-tube reverse transcription and probe-based qPCR for streamlined workflows
- High sensitivity for low-copy RNA targets and compatibility with inhibitor-containing samples
- Multiplex capability reduces sample consumption by detecting up to five targets per reaction
- Hot-start formulation minimizes non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation
- Options for ROX normalization support integration with a range of real-time PCR instruments
