UltraPlex 1-Step ToughMix (4X) is a 4X concentrated, probe‑based one‑step RT‑qPCR master mix supplied for real‑time reverse transcription and quantitative PCR in a single reaction. The formulation performs first‑strand cDNA synthesis and target quantification in the same tube, supports multiplex detection of up to five targets, and is designed for use with challenging samples that may contain PCR inhibitors (clinical, environmental, food or crude extracts). The 95166-100 format provides 100 reactions (100 x 20 µL reactions supplied as 1 x 500 µL).

Key Features:

  • 4X concentrated RT‑qPCR master mix
  • Format: 100 reactions (100 x 20 µL; 1 x 500 µL)
  • Compatible with probe‑based assays (TaqMan®, FRET, molecular beacons)
  • Multiplex capable: up to 5 targets per reaction
  • ToughMix formulation to resist PCR inhibitors; includes hot‑start polymerase and high‑purity reverse transcriptase

Advantages:

  • Enables one‑tube reverse transcription and qPCR, reducing hands‑on time and transfer steps
  • 4X concentration allows increased flexibility in reaction setup and accommodates limited sample volumes
  • ToughMix chemistry improves performance with inhibitor‑containing samples, broadening usable sample types
  • Multiplex capability permits simultaneous detection of multiple targets in a single reaction
