qScript 1-Step Virus ToughMix is a 2X ready-to-use one-step RT-qPCR master mix formulated for rapid detection and sensitive quantification of RNA viruses and low-abundance RNA targets in a single-tube workflow. The mix performs first-strand cDNA synthesis and PCR amplification in the same reaction and is designed for diagnostic and research RT-qPCR applications, including multiplexed detection of up to four targets and workflows that encounter common PCR inhibitors.

Key Features:

  • Kit size: 2000 reactions (2000R) supplied as 2X concentrated master mix
  • Complete one-step formulation containing qScript reverse transcriptase, RNase inhibitor, and hot-start DNA polymerase
  • Optimized for probe-based RT-qPCR (TaqMan/hydrolysis probe chemistries)
  • Tolerant to common PCR inhibitors (e.g., heme, humic acid, melanin, polysaccharides)
  • Supports multiplex detection of up to four targets and broad dynamic range

Advantages:

  • High sensitivity for low-input viral RNA enabling reliable detection of low-abundance targets
  • Resistance to common inhibitors reduces the need for extensive sample cleanup
  • Single-tube one-step workflow minimizes hands-on time and contamination risk
  • Multiplex capability allows simultaneous detection of multiple targets in one reaction
