Quantabio PerfeCTa PreAmp SuperMix, 40R 95146-040
PerfeCTa PreAmp SuperMix is a 5X concentrated, ready-to-use preamplification reagent supplied for 40 reactions (40R) and sold as part number 95146-040 by Quantabio. It performs unbiased, target-specific enrichment of selected DNA sequences from limiting amounts of starting material to enable downstream gene expression profiling or targeted re-sequencing. The mix includes a hot-start DNA polymerase and an inert tracer dye and is compatible with hydrolysis probe (TaqMan) and dsDNA-binding dye (e.g., SYBR Green I) qPCR detection chemistries.
Key Features:
- Pack size: 40 reactions (40R); part number 95146-040
- Formulation: 5X concentrated SuperMix containing optimized MgCl2, dNTPs, stabilizers and inert tracer dye
- Enzyme: AccuStart II hot-start Taq DNA polymerase (antibody-controlled hot-start)
- Performance: Unbiased pre-amplification of up to 100 DNA targets from as little as 100 pg total cDNA
- Compatibility: Works with TaqMan 5'-nuclease probes and dsDNA-binding dye qPCR chemistries
- Storage: Store at -25°C to -15°C, protected from light
Advantages:
- Enables sensitive enrichment of multiple targets from limited input material, expanding downstream qPCR or NGS analysis options
- 5X concentration permits higher template input volumes for dilute cDNA or reduced reaction volumes
- AccuStart II hot-start polymerase delivers improved sensitivity and specificity through antibody-controlled hot-start
- Inert AccuVue tracer dye provides visual confirmation of reagent addition to improve pipetting accuracy
