Quantabio AccuStart II Taq DNA Polymerase, 5000U 95141-05K
AccuStart II Taq DNA Polymerase is a high-purity, recombinant Taq DNA polymerase supplied as a hot-start formulation for PCR and molecular biology applications. High-avidity monoclonal antibodies bind and keep the polymerase inactive prior to the initial denaturation; a one-minute heat activation at 94°C irreversibly denatures the antibodies and releases active Taq for efficient, specific primer extension. The product is supplied at 5 U/µL (total 5000 U, 1 mL) with optimized 10X PCR Buffer II and MgCl2 for improved yield, specificity, and multiplexing, enabling ambient room-temperature reaction assembly and sensitive amplification of DNA targets.
Key Features:
- Format: 5 U/µL, total 5000 U supplied in 1 mL (5000 U, 1 x 1 mL)
- Hot-start mechanism: high-avidity monoclonal antibody inactivation; heat activation 1 minute at 94°C
- Enzymatic activity: 5'→3' DNA polymerase and double-strand specific 5'→3' exonuclease; no 3'→5' exonuclease activity
- Included reagents: 10X PCR Buffer II and 50 mM MgCl2 supplied
- Stabilizer matrix: enzyme supplied in 50% glycerol with Tris-HCl, NaCl, EDTA, and stabilizers
Advantages:
- Enables room-temperature reaction setup and reduces non-specific extension before cycling due to stringent antibody hot-start
- Optimized buffer system delivers higher yields, improved specificity, and enhanced multiplexing capability
- High-purity, high-yielding enzyme formulation provides robust, reliable assay sensitivity for routine PCR workflows
