AccuStart II Taq DNA Polymerase is a high-purity, hot-start Taq DNA polymerase formulation intended for routine PCR and molecular biology applications. The enzyme is supplied as 5 U/µL (total 250 U) and is activated by an initial heat denaturation step to enable ambient-temperature reaction setup. The kit includes optimized 10X PCR Buffer II and MgCl2 and is intended for amplification of DNA templates in research (not for diagnosis or treatment).

Key Features:

  • Total enzyme: 250 U (5 U/µL, 1 × 50 µL)
  • Includes 10X PCR Buffer II and 50 mM MgCl2
  • Hot-start format using high-avidity monoclonal antibody to inhibit activity prior to initial denaturation
  • Enzyme formulation: 5 U/µL in 50% glycerol, 20 mM Tris-HCl, 40 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM EDTA and stabilizers
  • Storage: store at -25°C to -15°C

Advantages:

  • Antibody-based hot-start enables room-temperature reaction setup and reduces non-specific amplification
  • Ultrapure, high-yielding modified Taq provides reliable sensitivity and robust PCR performance
  • Supplied buffer and MgCl2 are optimized to improve specificity and yield, simplifying reaction setup
