Buffered Peptone Water ISO Broth is a non-selective dehydrated pre-enrichment medium supplied as a 2.5 kg package for preparation of enrichment broth. It is used for the recovery and resuscitation of sublethally damaged foodborne organisms, including Salmonella spp. and Cronobacter spp., prior to introduction into selective media. The formulation is well buffered to maintain pH 7.0 during incubation and is prepared to conform with ISO methods for Salmonella and related food testing.
