T4000 Organic GPC/SEC Column CLM3004 is a styrene-divinyl benzene (T-series) gel permeation/size-exclusion chromatography column for the separation and molecular-weight characterisation of synthetic polymers. The column is 300 mm x 8.0 mm and is intended for use with organic mobile phases (shipping solvent THF listed) to separate polymers by hydrodynamic size for detection by downstream detectors. Primary use cases include high-molecular-weight polymer analysis and routine GPC/SEC separations of synthetic polymers.

Key Features:

  • Column type/grade: T4000 (styrene-divinyl benzene, part number CLM3004)
  • Dimensions: 300 mm x 8.0 mm
  • Particle size: 7 µm
  • Exclusion limit (polystyrene): 400,000 Da
  • Max. pore size: 1,500 Å
  • Theoretical plate number: >18,000 (per column)
  • Compatible (examples) solvents: THF, chloroform, toluene, xylene, acetone, MEK, DMF, DMAc, HFIP, NMP

Advantages:

  • Designed for separation and molecular-weight characterisation of synthetic polymers using organic mobile phases.
  • High theoretical plate count (>18,000) provides good resolution for polymer separations.
  • Large exclusion limit (400,000 Da) and 1,500 Å pore size accommodate analysis of high molecular-weight species.
  • Wide solvent compatibility enables use with common organic GPC solvents such as THF and chloroform.
