Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Membrane Disc, laminated to a polypropylene support, is a hydrophobic filtration disc designed to collect particulate down to 0.22 µm. The laminated PTFE construction provides chemical compatibility with strong acids and aggressive solvents and supports applications such as venting, phase separations and aerosol sampling. The discs can be used for filtration of aggressive solutions when prewetted with methanol and are autoclavable up to 130°C (260°F).

Key Features:

  • Membrane material: PTFE laminated to polypropylene (PTFE - PP laminated)
  • Pore size: 0.22 µm
  • Diameter: 13 mm
  • Pack quantity: 100 per pack
  • Hydrophobic: Yes
  • Autoclavable up to 130°C (260°F)

Advantages:

  • Chemical compatibility with strong acids and aggressive solvents enables use in demanding chemical filtration tasks.
  • Hydrophobic, non-stick PTFE membrane collects particulate while allowing air/gas flow, making it suitable for venting and aerosol sampling.
  • Lamination to a polypropylene support improves durability and handling during use and processing.
  • Autoclavability to 130°C allows sterilization for reuse in validated workflows.
