Nitrocellulose (MCE) membrane disc, 25 mm diameter, 0.45 µm pore size, white color, supplied 100 per pack (1215263). The membrane is an unsupported, hydrophilic mixed cellulose ester (nitrocellulose/cellulose acetate) filtration disc designed for rapid flow rate and high throughput filtration. Typical uses include microbiological and particulate analysis, clarification or sterilization of aqueous solutions, gravimetric analysis (ashing), and environmental/industrial hygiene sampling.

Key Features:

  • Membrane material: Nitrocellulose (Mixed Cellulose Esters, MCE)
  • Pore size: 0.45 µm
  • Diameter: 25 mm
  • Color/Type: White disc
  • Pack quantity: 100 per pack
  • Autoclavable: up to 121°C for 20 minutes

Advantages:

  • Rapid flow rate and high throughput suitable for diagnostic kit manufacturing and high-volume filtration.
  • Biologically inert membrane with low residue after ashing (less than 0.045% of initial weight) for accurate gravimetric analysis.
  • Hydrophilic surface with noncytotoxic wetting agent to ensure reliable wetting and low extractables.
  • Autoclavable for sterilization (121°C, 20 minutes) enabling sterile handling when required.
