CryoDefend-Cell Lines is a defined, protein-free cryopreservation media formulated for the cryopreservation of cultured cells. The media contains a defined serum substitute and an optimized concentration of cryoprotectant to increase recovery and post-thaw viability of cells compared with conventional freezing media. The product is supplied as five 10 mL vials and is intended for use in freezing and long-term storage workflows for a variety of cell lines, with protocols provided for freezing at -80 °C followed by transfer to liquid nitrogen and for subsequent thawing and recovery.
