High purity quartz glass coverslips (pack of 5) manufactured by Malvern Panalytical, part number MOR4532, intended as optically clean sample substrates for particle imaging and Raman-based chemical identification workflows. These coverslips are used to present small volumes or wet suspensions by ‘sandwiching’ a few microlitres between a microscope slide and a coverslip for analysis. High-purity quartz substrates are explicitly used to enable removal of substrate contributions from Raman spectra, improving chemical identification of weakly scattering particles in Morphologi MDRS (Morphologically-Directed Raman Spectroscopy) measurements.

Key Features:

  • Material: High purity quartz glass
  • Product type: Coverslips (microscope cover glass)
  • Quantity: Pack of 5 coverslips
  • Manufacturer part code: MOR4532
  • Intended use: Sample substrate for particle imaging and Raman chemical identification (Morphologi range)
  • Sample presentation: Suitable for preparing samples by sandwiching a few microlitres between slide and coverslip and for use with 2-slide or 4-slide holders

Advantages:

  • Minimises Raman substrate spectral contribution, enabling clearer chemical identification of weak Raman signals.
  • Provides an optically clean, high-purity substrate appropriate for particle imaging and MDRS workflows.
  • Pack format supplies multiple consumable coverslips for routine sample preparation.
